Then He *said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour the disciple took her into his home.

A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

And he who has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.

Now after these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because of his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body.

and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself.

And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

So the other disciples were saying to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe."

And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus *came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you."

but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved *said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and cast himself into the sea.

Peter, turning around, *saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

This is the disciple who is bearing witness to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his witness is true.

to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over forty days and speaking about the things concerning the kingdom of God.

But He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set by His own authority;

These all with one accord were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.

For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry."
