So foolish was I, and ignorant; I was as a beast before thee.

Behold the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.

And fields shall be bought in this land, of which you say, It is desolate, without man and beast; and it is delivered into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Thus says the LORD: Again there shall be heard in this country which you say is a waste without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, which are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,

Thus says the LORD of hosts: From henceforth in this place which is waste, without men and without beast, and in all its cities there shall be habitations of shepherds and folds of the flocks.

And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus says the LORD: You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written in it and said, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land and exterminate from it both man and beast?

For out of the north there comes up a nation against her which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell in it; they shall flee, they shall depart, both man and beast.

Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon and destroyed out of her both man and beast; the great sound of their voices goes up like the roaring of many waters.

Then say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this country, to destroy it, that none shall dwell in it. neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

Son of man, if a land should sin against me and commit iniquity before me, then I will stretch out my hand against it, and will break the staff of its wheat; and I will send famine upon it, and will destroy man and beast from it;

Or if I should bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through that land, and I destroy man and beast from it;

Or if I should send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, and destroy from it man and beast;

For thus says the LORD God: How much more when I send four sore judgments upon Jerusalem: the sword and famine and vicious beasts and pestilence, to destroy from it man and beast.

Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and will destroy both man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman to Deran; and they shall fall by the sword.
