And while he was speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud saying, This is my beloved Son, I am pleased with him; hear him.

For wherever two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.

He answered and said to one of them, My friend, I am not doing you an injustice; did you not bargain with me for a penny?

Have I no right to do what I wish with mine own? Or are you jealous because I am generous?

Jesus answered and said, You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I am ready to drink, or be baptized with the baptism with which I am to be baptized? They said to him, We can.

He said to them, Indeed my cup you shall drink, and the baptism with which I am to be baptized, you too shall be baptized with; but to sit at my right hand and at my left, that is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by my Father.

And he came to the other one and said to him likewise. And he answered and said, Here am I, my Lord, and yet he did not go.

I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob? And yet God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Because of this, I am sending to you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify; and some you will scourge in your synagogues, and pursue them from city to city;

For many will come in my name, and say, I am the Christ, and they will deceive many.

But after I am risen, I will be in Galilee before you.

Now when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but that instead confusion was increasing, he took water and washed his hands before the people, and said, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; do as you please.

He trusted in God; let him save him now, if he is pleased with him; for he said, I am God''s Son.

And Jesus came up and spoke with them, and said to them, All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Just as my Father has sent me I am also sending you.

And teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you all the days, to the end of the world. Amen.

And he preached saying, Behold, there is coming after me one who is mightier than myself, even the strings of whose shoes I am not good enough to bend down and untie.

And a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son, I am pleased with you.

And Jesus had mercy on him, and stretched out his hand and touched him, and said, I am willing; be clean.

And Jesus went out, and his disciples, to the towns of Caesarea of Philippi; and on the road he asked his disciples and said to them, What do men say about me, that I am?

Jesus said to them, But you, who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered and said to him, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
