Therefore I hope to send him forthwith, as soon as I shall see how it will go with me:

I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

But we, brothers, being bereaved of you for a short season, in presence not in heart, endeavored the more exceedingly to see your face with great desire:

But when Timothy came even now to us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also [to see] you;

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

See that none render to any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, both one toward another, and toward all.

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honor and power eternal. Amen.

longing to see you, remembering your tears, that I may be filled with joy;

You put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he subjected all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not see yet all things subjected to him.

But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, [even] Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every [man].

And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

who serve [that which is] a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses is warned [of God] when he is about to make the tabernacle: for, See, he says, that you make all things according to the pattern that was shown to you in the mount.

not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as you see the day drawing near.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for he has had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing to God:

Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

See that you do not refuse him that speaks. For if they did not escape when they refused him that warned [them] on earth, much more [shall] we [not escape] who turn away from him that [warns] from heaven:

Know that our brother Timothy has been set at liberty; with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you.

You see that faith was working with his works, and by works was faith made perfect;

You see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.

whom not having seen you love; on whom, though now you do not see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
