"But cursed is the deceiver who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but sacrifices a defective animal to the Lord. For I am a great King," says the LORD of Hosts, "and My name is to be feared among the nations."

While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him!"

For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them."

But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Did you not agree with me on one denarius?

Do I not have the right to do as I please with what is mine? Or are you envious because I am generous?'

"You do not know what you are asking," Jesus replied. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?" "We can," the brothers answered.

"I will also ask you one question," Jesus replied, "and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

So they answered, "We do not know." And Jesus replied, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."

'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' He is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

Because of this, I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and others you will flog in your synagogues and persecute in town after town.
