For many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

and declared, "This man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.'"

When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "You bear the responsibility."

He trusts in God. Let God deliver Him now if He wants Him. For He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. "I am willing," He said. "Be clean!"

"But what about you?" Jesus asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ."

"I will ask you one question," Jesus replied, "and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

So they answered, "We do not know." And Jesus replied, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."

But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?

Many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am He,' and will deceive many.

"I am," said Jesus, "and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with the clouds of heaven."

"How can I be sure of this?" Zechariah asked the angel. "I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years."

"I am Gabriel," replied the angel. "I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

"How can this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it happen to me according to your word." Then the angel left her.

And why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
