For her sins are piled as high as heaven,Genesis 18:20-21; Jeremiah 51:9; Jonah 1:2; Revelation 16:19;">[xr] and God has remembered her crimes.

For this reason her plagues of death,Isaiah 47:9; Jeremiah 50:34; Revelation 11:17; 17:16; 18:10;">[xr] misery, and famine will come in a single day. She will be burned up in a fire, because powerful is the Lord God who judges her."

Gloat over her, heaven, saints, apostles, and prophets! For God has condemned her for you."

After these things I heard what sounded like the loud voice of a large crowd in heaven, saying,Revelation 4:11; 11:15; 12:10;">[xr] "Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God.

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures bowed down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They said, "Amen! Hallelujah!"1 Chronicles 16:36; Nehemiah 5:13; 8:6; Revelation 4:4,6, 10; 5:14;">[xr]

A voice came from the throne, saying,Psalm 134:1; 135:1; Revelation 11:18; 20:12;">[xr] "Praise our God, all who serve and fear him, from the least importantto the most important."

Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a large crowd, like the sound of raging waters, and like the sound of powerful thunderclaps, saying,Ezekiel 1:24; 43:2; Revelation 11:15,17; 12:10; 14:2; 21:22;">[xr] "Hallelujah! The Lord our God, the Almighty, is reigning.

Then the angelhe">[fn] said to me, "Write this: 'How blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the lamb!'" He also told me, "These are the true words of God."Matthew 22:2-3; Luke 14:15-16; Revelation 21:5; 22:6;">[xr]

I bowed down at his feet to worship him, but he told me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold on to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy!"Acts 10:26; 14:14-15; 1 John 5:10; Revelation 12:17; 22:8-9;">[xr]

A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to strike down the nations. He will ruleshepherd">[fn] them with an iron rod and tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.Psalm 2:1-12; Isaiah 11:4; 63:3; 2 Thessalonians 2:8; Revelation 19:16,27; 2:27; 12:5; 14:19-20;">[xr]

Then I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. They came back to life and ruled with Christ for a thousand years.Daniel 7:9,22, 27; Matthew 19:28; Luke 22:30; Romans 8:17; 1 Corinthians 6:2-3; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 5:10; 6:9;">[xr]

How blessed and holy are those who participate in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and Christ, and will rule with him for a thousand years.Isaiah 61:6; 1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6; 2:11; 21:8;">[xr]

They marched over the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. Fire came from Godfrom God">[fn] out of heaven and burned them up,Isaiah 8:8; Ezekiel 38:9,16;">[xr]

I also saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.Isaiah 52:1; 54:5; 61:10; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Galatians 4:26; Hebrews 11:10; 12:22; 13:14; Revelation 3:10,12;">[xr]

I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "See, the tabernacle of God is among humans! He will make his home with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God.and he will be their God">[fn]Leviticus 26:11-12; Ezekiel 43:7; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Revelation 7:15;">[xr]

The person who conquers will inherit these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.Zechariah 8:8; Hebrews 8:10;">[xr]

He carried me away in the Spirit to a large, high mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven.Ezekiel 48:1-35; Revelation 1:10; 17:3; 21:2;">[xr]

It had the glory of God, and its light was like a valuable gem, like jasper, as clear as crystal.Revelation 21:5,23;">[xr]

I saw no temple in it, because the Lord God Almighty and the lamb are its temple.John 4:23;">[xr]

The city doesn't need any sun or moon to give it light, because the glory of God gave it light, and the lamb was its lamp.Isaiah 24:23; 60:19-20; Revelation 22:5,11;">[xr]
