Be alert, and strengthen the things that are left, which are about to die. I have not found your works to be completed in the sight of my God.

I will make the one who conquers a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and he will never go out of it again. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and were full of eyes inside and out. Without stopping day or night they were singing,Isaiah 6:2-3; Revelation 1:4,8; 6:6;">[xr] "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming."

"You are worthy, our Lord and God,Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 5:12; 10:6;">[xr] to receive glory, honor, and power, because you created all things, and they came into existence and were created because of your will."

Then I saw a lamb standing in the middle of the throne, the four living creatures, and the elders. He lookedHe looked">[fn] like he had been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth.Isaiah 53:7; Zechariah 3:9; 4:10; John 1:29,36; 1 Peter 1:19; Revelation 4:5;">[xr]

They sang a new song:Psalm 40:3; Daniel 4:1; 6:25; Acts 20:28; Romans 3:24; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 2 Peter 2:1; 1 John 1:7; Revelation 4:6,11; 7:9; 11:9;">[xr] "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased peoplepeople">[fn] for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

You made them a kingdom and priests for our God,Exodus 19:6; 1 Peter 2:5,9; Revelation 1:6; 20:6; 22:5;">[xr] and they will reign on the earth."

When the lambhe">[fn] opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the word of God and the testimony they had given.2 Timothy 1:8; Revelation 1:9; 8:3; 9:13; 12:17; 14:18; 19:10; 20:4;">[xr]

I saw another angel coming from the east having the seal of the living God. He cried out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been permitted to harm the land and sea,

"Don't harm the land, the sea, or the trees until we have marked the servants of our God with a seal on their foreheads."Ezekiel 9:4; Revelation 6:6; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4;">[xr]

They cried out in a loud voice,Psalm 3:8; Isaiah 43:11; Jeremiah 3:23; Hosea 13:4; Revelation 5:13; 19:1;">[xr] "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the lamb!"

All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell on their faces in front of the throne and worshiped God,Revelation 4:6;">[xr]

saying,Revelation 5:13-14;">[xr] "Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strengthbe to our God forever and ever! Amen!"

That is why:Isaiah 4:5-6; Revelation 21:3;">[xr] "They are in front of the throne of God and worshipserve">[fn] him night and day in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will shelter them.

for the lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd.Psalm 23:1; 36:8; Isaiah 25:8; John 10:11,14; Revelation 21:4;">[xr] He will lead them to springs filled with the water of life, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes."Isaiah 25:8">[fn]

They were told not to harm the grass on the earth, any green plant, or any tree. They could harmThey could harm">[fn] only the people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.Exodus 12:23; Ezekiel 9:4; Revelation 6:6; 7:3; 8:7;">[xr]

When the sixth angel blew his trumpet, I heard a voice from the fourfour">[fn] horns of the gold altar in front of God.

In the days when the seventh angel is ready to blow his trumpet, the secret of God will be fulfilled, as he had announced to his servants, the prophets."Revelation 11:15;">[xr]

Then I was given a stick like a measuring rod. I was told, "Stand up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and countcount">[fn] those who worship there.Numbers 23:18; Ezekiel 40:3; Zechariah 2:1; Revelation 21:15;">[xr]

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet. Those who watched them were terrified.Ezekiel 37:5,9-10,14; Revelation 11:9;">[xr]
