And as soon as He had finished speaking to Abraham, Yahweh departed, and Abraham returned to his place.

Then the two angels came to Sodom in the evening as Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. Lot saw them and rose to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.

Yet he pressed them strongly, so they turned aside to him and entered his house; and he made a feast for them and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

And Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, and said, "Get up, get out of this place, for Yahweh will destroy the city." But he appeared to his sons-in-law to be jesting.

But he hesitated. So the men seized his hand and the hand of his wife and the hands of his two daughters, for the compassion of Yahweh was upon him; and they brought him out and put him outside the city.

Then his wife, from behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

And Lot went up from Zoar and stayed in the mountains, and his two daughters with him; for he was afraid to stay in Zoar; and he stayed in a cave, he and his two daughters.

And the firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day.

As for the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-ammi; he is the father of the sons of Ammon to this day.

And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, "She is my sister." So Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.

So Abimelech arose early in the morning and called all his servants and told all these things in their hearing; and the men were greatly afraid.

Abimelech then took sheep and oxen and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham and returned his wife Sarah to him.

And Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maidservants, so that they bore children.

So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.

Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

And she said, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."

And the matter distressed Abraham greatly because of his son.

And he lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
