For all my father's household was nothing but men worthy of death before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those who ate at your own table. What right do I have yet that I should complain anymore to the king?"

And he did what was right in the sight of Yahweh, yet not like David his father; he did according to all that Joash his father had done.

Though Judah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came the ruler, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph),

Then the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.

Yet You gave Your people Israel to be Your own people forever, and You, O Yahweh, have become their God.

Yet, Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a ruler; and in the house of Judah, my father's house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a vast military force with an exceedingly vast number of chariots and horsemen? Yet because you leaned on Yahweh, He gave them into your hand.
