And you say to the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh; for you have wept in the ears of Yahweh, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore Yahweh will give you flesh, and you shall eat.

Because Yahweh wasn't able to bring this people into the land which he swore to them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.

For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you have turned back from following Yahweh, therefore Yahweh will not be with you.

Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against Yahweh: and Aaron, what is he that you murmur against him?

even the censers of these sinners against their own lives; and let them be made into beaten plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Yahweh; therefore they are holy; and they shall be a sign to the sons of Israel.

Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: therefore Israel turned away from him.

Therefore it is said in the book of the Wars of Yahweh, Vaheb in Suphah, And the valleys of the Arnon,

Therefore those that speak in proverbs say, You come to Heshbon; Let the city of Sihon be built and established:

Come now therefore, I pray you, curse this people for me; for they are too mighty for me: perhaps I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land; for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.

for I will promote you to very great honor, and whatever you say to me I will do: come therefore, I pray you, curse this people for me.

Now therefore, I pray you, you also tarry here this night, that I may know what Yahweh will speak to me more.

And Balaam said to the angel of Yahweh, I have sinned; for I didn't know that you stood in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease you, I will get myself back again.
