For all who are led by God's Spirit are God's children.Galatians 5:18;">[xr]

For you have not received a spirit of slavery that leads you into fear again. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.2 Corinthians 4:17; 1 Peter 1:6-7; 4:13;">[xr]

For the creation is eagerly waiting for God to reveal his children,2 Peter 3:13; 1 John 3:2;">[xr]

For we know that all creation has been groaning with the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.Jeremiah 12:11;">[xr]

However, not only creation groans,groans">[fn] but we who have the first fruits of the Spirit also groan inwardly as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.Luke 20:36; 21:28; 2 Corinthians 5:2,4-5; Ephesians 1:14; 4:30;">[xr]

For we were saved with this hope in mind.in mind">[fn] Now hope that is seen is not really hope, for who hopes for what can be seen?2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1;">[xr]

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

In the same way, the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself intercedesintercedes for us">[fn] with groans too deep for words,Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 20:22; Ephesians 6:18; James 4:3;">[xr]

and the one who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, for the Spirithe">[fn] intercedes for the saints according to God's will.according to God">[fn]1 Chronicles 28:9; Psalm 7:9; Proverbs 17:3; Jeremiah 11:20; 17:10; 20:12; Acts 1:24; 1 Thessalonians 2:4; 1 John 5:14; Revelation 2:23;">[xr]

And we know that he works all things togetherthat all things work together; other mss. read that God works all things together">[fn] for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.Romans 9:11,23-24; 2 Timothy 1:9;">[xr]

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.Exodus 33:12,17; Psalm 1:6; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 7:23; John 17:22; Romans 11:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 1:5,11, 17; Philippians 3:21; Colossians 1:15,18, 17; 2 Timothy 2:19; Hebrews 1:6; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 1:5;">[xr]

What, then, can we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?Numbers 14:9; Psalm 118:6;">[xr]

The one who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us - surely he will give us all things along with him, won't he?Romans 4:25;">[xr]

Who can condemn them? Christ Jesus, who died - and more importantly, who has been raised and is seated at the right hand of God - is the one who is also interceding for us!Job 1:34:29; Mark 16:19; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 1:3; 7:25; 8:1; 9:24; 12:1; 1 Peter 3:22; 1 John 2:1;">[xr]

As it is written,Psalm 44:22; 1 Corinthians 15:30-31; 2 Corinthians 4:11;">[xr] "For your sake we are being killed all day long.We are thought of as sheep to be slaughtered."Psalm 44:22">[fn]

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,Ephesians 1:21; 6:12; Colossians 1:16; 2:15; 1 Peter 3:22;">[xr]

I am telling the truth in union with Christ - I am not lying, for my conscience, confirms it in the Holy Spirit.Romans 1:9; 2 Corinthians 1:23; 11:31; 12:19; Galatians 1:20; Philippians 1:8; 1 Timothy 2:7;">[xr]

for I could wish that I myself were condemnedaccursed">[fn] and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my relatives according to the flesh.Exodus 32:32;">[xr]

Now it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all Israelites truly belong to Israel,Numbers 23:19; John 8:39; Romans 2:28-29; 3:8; Galatians 6:16;">[xr]
