We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true God.the true one">[fn] We are in union with the one who is true, his Son Jesus Christ. And this is love: that we live according to his commandments. This is his commandment, just as you have heard it from the beginning. You must live by it.John 14:15,21; 15:10; John 14:15,21, 1 John 2:5,24; 5:3;">[xr]

for the one who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Now I want to remind you, even though you are fully aware of these things, that the Lord who once saved his people from the land of Egypt later destroyed those who did not believe.[xr]

In a similar way, these dreamers also defile their flesh, reject the Lord's authority,[fn] and slander his glorious beings.[xr]

Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied about these people when he said,[xr] "Look! The Lord has come with countless thousands of his holy ones.

Now to the one who is able to keep you from falling and to make you stand faultless in his glorious presence with rejoicing,[xr]

This is[fn] the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the things that must happen soon. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,[xr]

From[fn] John to the seven churches in Asia. May grace and peace be yours from the one who is, who was, and who is coming, from the seven spirits who are in front of his throne,[xr]

and from Jesus Christ, the witness, the faithful one,[fn] the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has freed[fn] us from our sins by his blood[xr]

and has made us a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.[xr]

Among the lampstands there was someone like the Son of Man. He was wearing a long robe with a gold belt around his waist.[xr]

His head and his hair were white like wool, in fact, as white as snow. His eyes were like flames of fire,[xr]

his feet were like glowing bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of raging waters.[xr]

In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp, two-edged sword. His face was like the sun when it shines with full force.[xr]
