1 John 5:5

Who can defeat the whole world? The cowboy who believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
1 John 5:9
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
If three witnesses on earth would validate a truth, then these three witnesses confirm the truth of who Jesus is. But really, we have only to listen to God, because he told us himself that Jesus was his Son.
1 John 5:10

Anyone who believes in Jesus knows this to be true. Those who don't believe in Jesus are just calling God a liar.
1 John 5:11
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
This is what God said, he has given us eternal life and it is only found in his Son.
1 John 5:14
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
We are courageous when we come before God because we know he loves us and listens to our needs. We know he will take care of us.
1 John 5:16

If you see a fellow cowboy doing something he shouldn't, you should pray for him and God will hear the prayer and bring him back. That's not to say there is a possibility someone could do something so heinous that God would turn their back on them. Possibly something as bad as turning their backs on God. Praying for that guy probably wouldn't do a lot of good.
1 John 5:17

Listen, we are all going to mess up and that is what it means to sin. But God is better as saving than we are at sinning . . . to an extent.
1 John 5:18
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Anyone who truly rides for God as one of his kids doesn't keep on intentionally sinning. Jesus keeps them safe from the devil.
1 John 5:19
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
We know we ride for God even though everyone else rides for the devil.
1 John 5:21
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Cowboys, keep a far distance from anything that looks like a false god.
2 John 1:6
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Taking care of each other means we are doing what God said. He's repeated himself over and over and over. Look out for each other and watch each other's backs.
3 John 1:6
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
They came here and told us how you treated them. Keep on helping them all like this. If they are riding for the Lord, then send them away with enough that they can keep spreading the word. God likes that.
3 John 1:10
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
When I make it over to y'all, I'm going to spill the beans about what he's been doing and saying. If lying wasn't enough, he won't lift a hand to help any of the boys riding for God. Get this, he even keeps others from helping them too. He tells our boys to hit the road and don't come back.
3 John 1:11
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
I don't think I have to say this, but don't act like that. Be better than that. Those who do good belong to God and those who act like Diotrephes, don't. Simple as that.
Jude 1:2
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Here's hoping that God is going to overload you with grace, mercy, and love.
Jude 1:6
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Also remember those angels who didn't do what God had said. They are now locked in chains in the forever dark below. God is making them wait for his Day of Sentencing. They'll get what's coming to them.
Jude 1:7
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Don't forget about Sodom and Gomorrah. Their people acted like those angels. They all indulged in sexual immorality and perversion. Those cities and their peoples were destroyed. Think of it like a warning shot from God for all of us not to ride those trails.
Jude 1:8
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
There are some people who claim to have dreams that come from some god. They live lustful lives, scoff at authority, and insult the angels and such.
Jude 1:11
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
Honestly, it's sad. They have chosen the trail of Cain. For no more reason than money, they've chosen to turn from the Lord like Balaam did. They've gone off the deep end like Korah did and rebelled against God. And just like him, they are destroyed.
Jude 1:19
[ Read Chapter | View Context | Multi-Translations | Study Tools ]
These are the folks who split herds. They aren't controlled by God, but by their own evil desires. The Holy Ghost ain't in them.
