Behold, God will not reject the upright men, nor will he help the evildoers;

Truly, I know that it is so; but how can a man be declared innocent before God?

God will not turn away his anger, the mighty shall be humiliated under him.

For God is not a man as I am, that I might answer him. and that we should come together for trial.

I will say to God. Do not condemn me; show me why thou dost contend with me.

But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you;

And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, for wisdom has inner chambers; then you would know that God would forgive your sins.

Can you understand the deep things of God? Or can you stand at the outer boundary of the Almighty?

And yet he who called upon God became ridiculous to his friends, and he answered him who is pleased with the righteous who are unblemished,

The tabernacle of robbers shall be removed, and the confidence of those who provoke God; for there is no God in their heart.

But I would speak to the Almighty, and with my reproof would I reason with God.

Will you speak wickedly against God? And talk deceitfully against him?

Yea, you also are discarding reverence, and talk too much in the presence of God.

Have you heard of the secrets of God? Has his wisdom been revealed to you?

That you boast in the presence of God, and let such words go out of your mouth?

Because he has stretched out his hand against God, and strengthened himself against the Almighty.

God has delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

O my brethren and my neighbors! my eyes pour out tears to God!

O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor!

Surely such is the dwelling of the wicked, and this is the place of him who knows not God.
