Know then that God has condemned me, and spread his net over me.

Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O you my friends; for the hand of God has been against me.

Why do you also persecute me like God, and you are not satisfied with the hurt of my flesh?

Yet, if my eyes shall see God, then my heart also will see the light; but now my body is consumed.

The riches which he had swallowed down, he shall vomit up out of his belly; and God shall destroy him.

May his posterity go to destruction, may God cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and deluge him while he wars against him.

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him from the Highest.

Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.

They say to God, Depart from us; for we do not desire to know thy ways.

Moreover, they say, Who is God, that we should serve him? And what would we gain, that we should pray to him?

How often is it that the wicked are left without an heir! how often their destruction comes upon them! God distributes sorrows in his anger.

God reserves mans iniquity for his children; he pays it back to him, and he shall know it.

Shall any teach God knowledge, seeing it is he who judges the proud?

O man, can you converse with God; are you equal with him in wisdom?

Behold, God is in the height of heaven, and sees the highest of the stars that are very high.

And yet you say, How does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

Who said to God, Depart from us; what can God do for us?

Make now an agreement with God, and offer to him of your good crops.

If you shall repent before God, you shall be built up; if you shall put away iniquity from your dwelling place;

Yea, God shall be your defense, and you shall have plenty of silver.
