Many say of me, "God will not deliver him." Selah

Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

Attend to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray.

For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; no evil can dwell with You.

Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.

Put an end to the evil of the wicked, but establish the righteous, O righteous God who searches hearts and minds.

My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

God is a righteous judge and a God who feels indignation each day.

If one does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; He has bent and strung His bow.

The wicked will return to Sheol-all the nations who forget God.

In his pride the wicked man does not seek Him; in all his schemes there is no God.

He says to himself, "God has forgotten; He hides His face and never sees."

Arise, O LORD! Lift up Your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.

Why has the wicked man renounced God? He says to himself, "You will never call me to account."

See me and respond, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death,
