"For when they had slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered My sanctuary on the same day to profane it; and lo, thus they did within My house.

'Yes, I will cause men—My people Israel—to walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their inheritance and never again bereave them of children.'

"Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because they say to you, "You are a devourer of men and have bereaved your nation of children,"

therefore you will no longer devour men and no longer bereave your nation of children,' declares the Lord GOD.

The king then gave orders, and they brought those men who had maliciously accused Daniel, and they cast them, their children and their wives into the lions' den; and they had not reached the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.
