1 Samuel 6:10

The men did this: They took two milk cows, hitched them to the cart, and confined their calves in the pen. The men did so, and took two milk cattle, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home; And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: So the men did so; they took two milking cows and harnessed them to the utility cart, but they shut up their calves in the stall. The men did so, and took two milk cows and yoked them to the cart and shut up their calves at home. The Philistines did what the priests and magicians said. They took two cows that had just had calves and hitched them to the cart, but they kept their calves at home. So the men did as instructed. They took two cows that had calves and harnessed them to a cart; they also removed their calves to their stalls. And the men did so, and took two milk cows and hitched them to the cart, and corralled their calves at home. Then the men did so: they took two milk cows and hitched them to the cart, and shut in their calves at home. And the men did so: for they tooke two kine that gaue milke, and tied them to the cart, and shut the calues at home. Then the men did so and took two milch cows and hitched them to the cart and shut up their calves at home. The Philistines followed their advice. They hitched up the two cows to the cart, but they kept their calves in a barn. The men did it. They took two milk-cows, harnessed them to the cart and confined their calves to the shed. And the men did so, and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. The Philistines did what the priests and magicians said. They found two cows that had just had calves and tied them to the wagon. But they kept the calves at home in a pen. And the men did so; and took two milch cows and tied them to the cart and shut up their calves at home; They did what they were told: they took two cows and hitched them to the wagon, and shut the calves in the barn. And the men did so. And they took two suckling cows and tied them to the cart. And they shut their young ones in the house. The men dyd so, and toke two yonge mylke kyne, and yocked them to a cart, and helde their calues at home, And the men did so, and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home; And the men did so; they took two cows, yoking them to the cart and shutting up their young ones in their living-place: And the men did euen so: And toke two kyne that gaue milke, & tyed them to the cart, and kept the calues at home. And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. And the men did so: and tooke two milch-kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut vp their calues at home. And the Philistines did so; and they took two cows that had calved for the first time, and yoked them to the waggon, and shut up their calves at home. And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: So the men did as instructed. They took two milk cows, hitched them to the cart, and penned up their calves. Therfor thei diden in this manere; and thei token twei kien that yauen mylk to caluys, and ioyneden to the wayn; and thei closiden her caluys at hoome. And the men do so, and take two suckling kine, and bind them in the cart, and their young ones they have shut up in the house; And the men did so, and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home; And the men did so; and took two milch cows, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: The men did so, and took two milk cattle, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home; Then the men did so; they took two milk cows and hitched them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. So these instructions were carried out. Two cows were hitched to the cart, and their newborn calves were shut up in a pen. The men did so. They took two milk cows and tied them to the wagon, and shut up their calves at home. The men did so; they took two milch cows and yoked them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. The men, therefore, did so, and took two milch kine, and fastened them in the waggon, - but, their calves, shut they up in the shed. They did therefore in this manner: and taking two kine, that had sucking calves, they yoked them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. The men did so, and took two milch cows and yoked them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. And the men do so, and take two suckling cows, and bind them in the cart, and they shut up their young ones in the house; So that's what they did: They hitched two cows to the cart, put their calves in the barn, and placed the Chest of God and the sack of gold rats and tumors on the cart. The cows headed straight for home, down the road to Beth Shemesh, straying neither right nor left, mooing all the way. The Philistine leaders followed them to the outskirts of Beth Shemesh. Then the men did so, and took two milch cows and hitched them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home.

Gill's Notes on the Bible

And the men did so,.... Made a new cart, not the lords of the Philistines, but workmen by their orders:

and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart; with the gear that horses, asses, or oxen, were usually fastened to a carriage they drew:

and shut up their calves at home; or, "in the house" s; the cow house or stable where they used to be put; this they did to restrain them from following the cows, which would disturb them in drawing the cart.

s בבית "in domo", Pagninus, Montanus, &c.
