(Strong's #4493 — Noun Feminine — rhipe — hree-pay' )

akin to rhipto, "to hurl," was used of any rapid movement, e.g., the throw of a javelin, the rush of wind or flame; in 1 Corinthians 15:52 of the "twinkling" of an eye.
