(Strong's #3599 — Noun Masculine — odous — od-ooce )

is used in the sing. in Matthew 5:38 (twice); elsewhere in the plural, of "the gnashing of teeth," the gnashing being expressive of anguish and indignation, Matthew 8:12 ; 13:42,50 ; 22:13 ; 24:51 ; 25:30 ; Mark 9:18 ; Luke 13:28 ; Acts 7:54 ; in Revelation 9:8 , of the beings seen in a vision and described as locusts.
