I have listened

שָׁמַ֣עְתִּי

to your voice

ḇə·qō·lə·ḵem,

and have made a king

וָאַמְלִ֥יךְ

הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ׀

מִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ

lip̄·nê·ḵem,

and gray headed

וָשַׂ֔בְתִּי

hiṯ·hal·laḵ·tî

הִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּי

lip̄·nê·ḵem,

from my childhood

min·nə·‘u·ray

[am] here I witness

against me before

his anointed

have I taken

have I taken

have I defrauded

עָשַׁ֙קְתִּי֙

have I oppressed

raṣ·ṣō·w·ṯî,

or of whose hand

or from whose

have I received

and to blind

therewith? and I will restore

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

do defrauded us

‘ă·šaq·tā·nū

עֲשַׁקְתָּ֖נוּ

oppressed us

raṣ·ṣō·w·ṯā·nū;

רַצּוֹתָ֑נוּ

have you taken

[is] witness them

and His anointed

And they answered

[He is] witness

[It is] the LORD

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem

up out of the land

therefore stand still

hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣə·ḇū

הִֽתְיַצְּב֛וּ

that I may reason

wə·’iš·šā·p̄ə·ṭāh

וְאִשָּׁפְטָ֥ה

the righteous acts

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem.

אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

way·yiz·‘ă·qū

וַיִּזְעֲק֤וּ

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙

וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח

and that brought forth

way·yō·w·ṣî·’ū

וַיּוֹצִ֤יאוּ

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem

אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙

out of Egypt

mim·miṣ·ra·yim,

מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם

and made them dwell

way·yō·ši·ḇūm

וַיֹּשִׁב֖וּם

bam·mā·qō·wm

when they forgot

way·yiš·kə·ḥū

וַֽיִּשְׁכְּח֖וּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·hem;

וַיִּמְכֹּ֣ר

into the hand

and into the hand

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֗ים

and into the hand

and they fought

way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū

וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ

And they cried

way·yiz·‘ă·qū

וַיִּזְעֲק֤וּ

(way·yō·mə·rū

(וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

We have sinned

we have forsaken

and have served

wan·na·‘ă·ḇōḏ

hab·bə·‘ā·lîm

הַבְּעָלִ֖ים

hā·‘aš·tā·rō·wṯ;

הָעַשְׁתָּר֑וֹת

haṣ·ṣî·lê·nū

הַצִּילֵ֛נוּ

out of the hand

of our enemies

and we will serve

wə·na·‘aḇ·ḏe·kā.

וְנַעַבְדֶֽךָּ׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

yə·rub·ba·‘al

and delivered

out of the hand

of your enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·ḵem

אֹֽיְבֵיכֶם֙

on every side

and you dwelled

wat·tê·šə·ḇū

וַתֵּשְׁב֖וּ

when you saw

wat·tō·mə·rū

וַתֹּ֣אמְרוּ

when the LORD

your God [was]

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

מַלְכְּכֶֽם׃

therefore behold

you have chosen

בְּחַרְתֶּ֖ם

you have desired

שְׁאֶלְתֶּ֑ם

you will fear

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem

וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֤ם

ū·šə·ma‘·tem

וּשְׁמַעְתֶּ֣ם

to His voice

do rebel against

you continue

then shall both

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

to the voice

Then shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

as against your fathers

ū·ḇa·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem.

וּבַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣə·ḇū

הִתְיַצְּב֣וּ

hag·gā·ḏō·wl

before your eyes

lə·‘ê·nê·ḵem.

לְעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃

[Is it] wheat

and he shall send

you may perceive

your wickedness

you have done

in the sight

for yourselves a king

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ

הִתְפַּלֵּ֧ל

your servants

we have added

ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯê·nū

חַטֹּאתֵ֙ינוּ֙

for ourselves a king

turn not aside

from following

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem

וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֥ם

do you must not turn

[then should you go] after

[things] profit

For the LORD

for his great

hag·gā·ḏō·wl;

it has pleased

to make atonement

be it from me that I should sin

against the LORD

lə·hiṯ·pal·lêl

לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל

I will teach

wə·hō·w·rê·ṯî

וְהוֹרֵיתִ֣י

haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh

and the right

wə·hay·šā·rāh.

וְהַיְשָׁרָֽה׃

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem

וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֥ם

[things] great he has done

if you shall still

you shall be consumed
