פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים

way·yag·gi·ḏū

וַיַּגִּ֤דוּ

בְּמִדְבַּ֖ר

wa·’ă·nā·šāw,

וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֔יו

of the wild goats

hay·yə·‘ê·lîm.

הַיְּעֵלִֽים׃

the sheepcotes

wa·’ă·nā·šāw,

וַאֲנָשָׁ֔יו

in the inner

bə·yar·kə·ṯê

בְּיַרְכְּתֵ֥י

ham·mə·‘ā·rāh

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩

will deliver

[’ō·yə·ḇê·ḵā

into your hand

bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā,

that you may do

to him as it shall seem good

bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā;

בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ

And it came to pass

of that David

he had cut off

la·’ă·nā·šāw

לַאֲנָשָׁ֜יו

[is] the anointed

וַיְשַׁסַּ֨ע

his servants

with [these] words

bad·də·ḇā·rîm,

בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים

out of the cave

mê·ham·mə·‘ā·rāh

מֵהַמְּעָרָ֖ה

on [his] way

בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃

and went out

ham·mə·‘ā·rāh

(mê·ham·mə·‘ā·rāh,

(מֵֽהַמְּעָרָ֔ה

and stooped him

with his face

to the earth

and bowed himself

way·yiš·tā·ḥū.

וַיִּשְׁתָּֽחוּ׃

rā·‘ā·ṯe·ḵā.

had delivered

that the LORD you

into my hand

bam·mə·‘ā·rāh,

בַּמְּעָרָ֔ה

[some] and commanded

la·hă·rā·ḡă·ḵā

you and I said

do put forth

against my lord

[is] of the LORD

of your robe

in that I cut

of your robe

hă·raḡ·tî·ḵā,

הֲרַגְתִּ֗יךָ

[there is] evil

and nor transgression

לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃

and between me

ū·nə·qā·ma·nî

וּנְקָמַ֥נִי

and the LORD me

As the proverb

of the ancients

haq·qaḏ·mō·nî,

הַקַּדְמֹנִ֔י

mê·rə·šā·‘îm

מֵרְשָׁעִ֖ים

therefore be

therefore be judge

and between me

and deliver me

wə·yiš·pə·ṭê·nî

וְיִשְׁפְּטֵ֖נִי

out of your hand

mî·yā·ḏe·ḵā.

And it came to pass

had finished

kə·ḵal·lō·wṯ

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֤ים

[is] your voice

And lifted up

וַיֵּֽבְךְּ׃

more righteous

have rewarded me

gə·mal·ta·nî

גְּמַלְתַּ֣נִי

haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh,

and whereas I

have rewarded you

gə·mal·tî·ḵā

גְּמַלְתִּ֥יךָ

you have dealt

forasmuch as when

had delivered

sig·gə·ra·nî

into your hand me

do you killed

hă·raḡ·tā·nî.

הֲרַגְתָּֽנִי׃

and will he let him go

wə·šil·lə·ḥōw

וְשִׁלְּח֖וֹ

Why the LORD

yə·šal·lem·ḵā

יְשַׁלֶּמְךָ֣

you have done

you shall surely

and shall be established

in your hand

bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā,

that the kingdom

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

hiš·šā·ḇə·‘āh

הִשָּׁ֤בְעָה

therefore to me by the LORD

you will cut off

my offspring

you will destroy

of out of my father

way·yiš·šā·ḇa‘

וַיִּשָּׁבַ֥ע

wa·’ă·nā·šāw,

וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֔יו

ham·mə·ṣū·ḏāh.

הַמְּצוּדָֽה׃
