hag·giḇ·‘ā·ṯāh

הַגִּבְעָ֖תָה

hide himself

מִסְתַּתֵּר֙

ha·ḥă·ḵî·lāh,

הַיְשִׁימֹֽן׃

and went down

the wilderness

having three

in the wilderness

בְּמִדְבַּר־

ha·ḥă·ḵî·lāh,

הַיְשִׁימֹ֖ן

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

into the wilderness

ham·miḏ·bā·rāh.

הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃

therefore sent out

וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח

mə·rag·gə·lîm;

מְרַגְּלִ֑ים

that understood

ham·mā·qō·wm

ham·mā·qō·wm

in the circle

bam·ma‘·gāl,

בַּמַּעְגָּ֔ל

and the people

[sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯōw

(sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯāw.

(סְבִיבֹתָֽיו׃

Then answered

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀

’ă·ḥî·me·leḵ

אֲחִימֶ֣לֶךְ

will go down

ham·ma·ḥă·neh;

הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה

will go down

wa·’ă·ḇî·šay

וַאֲבִישַׁ֥י ׀

inside the trench

bam·ma‘·gāl,

בַּמַּעְגָּ֔ל

and his spear

wa·ḥă·nî·ṯōw

in the ground

[mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯōw

[מְרַאֲשֹׁתֹו

at his bolster

(mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw;

(מְרַאֲשֹׁתָ֑יו

and the people

[sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯōw

(sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯāw.

(סְבִיבֹתָֽיו׃

has delivered

into your hand

bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā;

therefore let me strike him

with the spear

and even to the earth

do [smite] him the second time

taš·ḥî·ṯê·hū;

תַּשְׁחִיתֵ֑הוּ

can stretch forth

בִּמְשִׁ֥יחַ

of against the LORD

and be guiltless

[As] the LORD

shall strike him

yig·gā·p̄en·nū;

יִגָּפֶ֑נּוּ

ḇam·mil·ḥā·māh

בַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה

he shall descend

וְנִסְפָּֽה׃

of against the LORD

that I should stretch forth

miš·šə·lō·aḥ

בִּמְשִׁ֣יחַ

of against the LORD

[mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯōw

[מְרַאֲשֹׁתֹו

at his bolster

(mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw

(מְרַאֲשֹׁתָ֛יו

and let us go

wə·nê·lă·ḵāh

mê·ra·’ă·šō·ṯê

מֵרַאֲשֹׁתֵ֣י

of from Saul

and they got them away

way·yê·lə·ḵū

neither [it]

they were all

a deep sleep

תַּרְדֵּמַ֣ת

from the LORD

Then went over

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

to the other side

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

at a distance

ham·mā·qō·wm

בֵּינֵיהֶֽם׃

then answered

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of the people

לְהַשְׁחִ֖ית

’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā.

you have done

[As] the LORD

surely [are]

שְׁמַרְתֶּ֛ם

’ă·ḏō·nê·ḵem

[is] and the cruse

[mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯōw

[מְרַאֲשֹׁתֹו

at his bolster

(mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw.

(מְרַאֲשֹׁתָֽיו׃

[is] your voice

[It is] my voice

does my lord

of his servant

have stirred you up

let him accept

[they be] the children

they have driven me out

גֵרְשׁ֣וּנִי

from abiding

mê·his·tap·pê·aḥ

מֵהִסְתַּפֵּ֜חַ

with the inheritance

bə·na·ḥă·laṯ

to the earth

has come out

for the king

in the mountains

I have sinned

do do you harm

was precious

in your sight

בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ

I have played the fool

הִסְכַּ֛לְתִּי

and have erred

וָאֶשְׁגֶּ֖ה

And answered

and come over

wə·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

of the young

mê·han·nə·‘ā·rîm

מֵֽהַנְּעָרִ֖ים

wə·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā.

וְיִקָּחֶֽהָ׃

to every man

his righteousness

his faithfulness

’ĕ·mu·nā·ṯōw;

for the LORD

[my] you into [my] hand

בִּמְשִׁ֥יחַ

of against the LORD

was much set

in the sight

and let him deliver me

wə·yaṣ·ṣi·lê·nî

וְיַצִּלֵ֖נִי

[are] my son

you shall both

you shall both do

[things] and also shall still

to his place

lim·qō·w·mōw.
