וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙

way·yā·ḇi·’ū

’ă·ḇî·nā·ḏāḇ

bag·giḇ·‘āh;

בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה

And it came to pass

From the day

Kirjath-jearim

that was long

וַיִּרְבּוּ֙

וַיִּֽהְי֖וּ

and lamented

way·yin·nā·hū

וַיִּנָּה֛וּ

[then] put away

mit·tō·wḵ·ḵem

מִתּוֹכְכֶ֖ם

and Ashtaroth

wə·hā·‘aš·tā·rō·wṯ;

וְהָעַשְׁתָּר֑וֹת

you and prepare

and serve him

wə·‘iḇ·ḏu·hū

וְעִבְדֻ֣הוּ

and He will deliver

out of the hand

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

Then did put away

way·yā·sî·rū

וַיָּסִ֙ירוּ֙

the children

hab·bə·‘ā·lîm

הַבְּעָלִ֖ים

hā·‘aš·tā·rōṯ;

הָעַשְׁתָּרֹ֑ת

way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū

וַיַּעַבְד֥וּ

ham·miṣ·pā·ṯāh;

הַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה

and I will pray

wə·’eṯ·pal·lêl

וְאֶתְפַּלֵּ֥ל

And they gathered together

way·yiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū

וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ

ham·miṣ·pā·ṯāh

הַ֠מִּצְפָּתָה

way·yiš·’ă·ḇū-

וַיִּֽשְׁאֲבוּ־

and poured out

way·yiš·pə·ḵū

וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכ֣וּ ׀

way·yā·ṣū·mū

וַיָּצ֙וּמוּ֙

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ

We have sinned

against the LORD

וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֧ט

the children

bam·miṣ·pāh.

בַּמִּצְפָּֽה׃

way·yiš·mə·‘ū

וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ

the Philistines

p̄ə·liš·tîm,

פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים

were gathered together

hiṯ·qab·bə·ṣū

הִתְקַבְּצ֤וּ

the children

ham·miṣ·pā·ṯāh,

הַמִּצְפָּ֔תָה

way·ya·‘ă·lū

of the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

way·yiš·mə·‘ū

וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙

the children

of Israel [it]

they were afraid

וַיִּֽרְא֖וּ

p̄ə·liš·tîm.

פְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ

the children

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū;

that he will save us

wə·yō·ši·‘ê·nū

וְיֹשִׁעֵ֖נוּ

out of the hand

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

[way·ya·‘ă·leh

(way·ya·‘ă·lê·hū

(וַיַּעֲלֵ֧הוּ

[it for] a burnt offering

way·ya·‘ă·nê·hū

וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֖הוּ

the burnt offering

hā·‘ō·w·lāh,

and the Philistines

ū·p̄ə·liš·tîm

וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

against Israel

bə·yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

but thundered

with a great

the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּים֙

and overwhelmed them

way·hum·mêm,

and they were struck

way·yin·nā·ḡə·p̄ū

וַיִּנָּגְפ֖וּ

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And went out

way·yê·ṣə·’ū

וַיֵּ֨צְא֜וּ

ham·miṣ·pāh,

הַמִּצְפָּ֔ה

way·yir·də·p̄ū

וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ

the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים

and struck them

[they came] Beth-car

between [it]

הַמִּצְפָּה֙

of it Ebenezer

has the LORD

so were subdued

way·yik·kā·nə·‘ū

וַיִּכָּֽנְעוּ֙

the Philistines

hap·pə·liš·tîm,

הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

into the coast

was against the Philistines

bap·pə·liš·tîm,

בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

And were restored

wat·tā·šō·ḇə·nāh

וַתָּשֹׁ֣בְנָה

the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּים֩

יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל ׀

lə·yiś·rā·’êl

לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙

mê·‘eq·rō·wn

thereof did Israel

from the hand

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים

And there was

the Amorites

hā·’ĕ·mō·rî.

וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֤ט

and in circuit

wə·hag·gil·gāl

וְהַגִּלְגָּ֖ל

wə·ham·miṣ·pāh;

וְהַמִּצְפָּ֑ה

ham·mə·qō·w·mō·wṯ

הַמְּקוֹמ֖וֹת

and his return [was]

ū·ṯə·šu·ḇā·ṯōw

וּתְשֻׁבָת֤וֹ

hā·rā·mā·ṯāh

for his house

and he build
