וַֽעֲתַלְיָה֙

’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū,

אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ

וַתְּאַבֵּ֔ד

מֵינִקְתּ֖וֹ

וַיַּסְתִּ֧רוּ

עֲתַלְיָ֖הוּ

וַיִּקַּ֣ח ׀

wə·lā·rā·ṣîm,

וְלָ֣רָצִ֔ים

into the house

and took an oath

וַיַּשְׁבַּ֤ע

And he commanded them

הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֤ית

in on the Sabbath

haš·šab·bāṯ,

and shall even be keepers

wə·šō·mə·rê,

וְשֹׁ֣מְרֵ֔י

וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙

[shall be] at the gate

so shall you keep

let him be slain

and they made him king

וַיַּמְלִ֥כוּ

and anointed him

וַיִּמְשָׁחֻ֑הוּ

and they clapped

וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

and she came

But commanded

Have her forth

in the house

לַשְּׂדֵרֹ֔ת

and him who follows

the captains

and they brought down

way·yō·rî·ḏū

וַיֹּרִ֤ידוּ

from the house

way·yā·ḇō·w·’ū

וַיָּב֛וֹאוּ

of the guard

of the kings

ham·mə·lā·ḵîm.

הַמְּלָכִֽים׃

וַיִּשְׂמַ֥ח

and the city

was in quiet

‘ă·ṯal·yā·hū

עֲתַלְיָ֛הוּ

with the sword

(ham·me·leḵ.

when he began to reign
