בְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן

of Jehoshaphat

לִיהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ

And he worked

way·ya·‘ă·śeh

וַיַּעֲשֶׂ֤ה

and like his mother

בְּחַטֹּ֞אות

But it came to pass

out of Samaria

מִשֹּׁמְר֑וֹן

and numbered

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

וַיִּשְׁלַח֩

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֨ט

lam·mil·ḥā·māh;

לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה

I will go up

according to

כְּסוּסֶֽיךָ׃

אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ,

יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט

way·yê·rə·ḏū

וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

of your mother

לִשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙

הַמְּלָכִ֣ים

וּשְׁתִיתֶ֛ם

וּֽבְהֶמְתְּכֶֽם׃

And [but] is a light thing

in the sight

and he will deliver

the Moabites

into your hand

בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃

And you shall strike

wə·hik·kî·ṯem

וְהִכִּיתֶ֞ם

תִּסְתֹּ֑מוּ

haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh,

bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm.

בָּאֲבָנִֽים׃

And it came to pass

in the morning

when the grain offering

ham·min·ḥāh,

and was filled

wat·tim·mā·lê

וַתִּמָּלֵ֥א

the Moabites

that the kings

ham·mə·lā·ḵîm

הַמְּלָכִ֖ים

lə·hil·lā·ḥem

they gathered all

way·yiṣ·ṣā·‘ă·qū,

וַיִּצָּעֲק֗וּ

were able to put on

way·ya·‘am·ḏū

וַיַּעַמְד֖וּ

And they rose up early

way·yaš·kî·mū

וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ

in the morning

wə·haš·še·meš

וְהַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ

the Moabites

on the other side

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙

ham·mə·lā·ḵîm,

הַמְּלָכִ֔ים

and they have struck

to the spoil

when they came

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

way·yā·qu·mū

the Israelites

the Moabites

so that they fled

way·yā·nu·sū

mip·pə·nê·hem;

מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם

but they went

and forward smiting

the Moabites

And the cities

wə·he·‘ā·rîm

they beat down

and on every

of land cast

יַשְׁלִ֨יכוּ

ū·mil·’ū·hā,

וּמִלְא֗וּהָ

and they stopped

יִסְתֹּ֙מוּ֙
