In the third

was revealed

lə·ḏā·nî·yêl,

לְדָֽנִיֵּ֔אל

Belteshazzar

bê·lə·ṭə·šaṣ·ṣar;

בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֑ר

and [was] true

but the time appointed [was]

and he understood

and had understanding

of the vision

bam·mar·’eh.

בַּמַּרְאֶֽה׃

miṯ·’ab·bêl,

neither did I anoint

any ointment

were fulfilled

And in the four

wə·’ar·bā·‘āh

וְאַרְבָּעָ֖ה

in the month

hā·ri·šō·wn;

of the great

hag·gā·ḏō·wl

[is] Hiddekel

Then I lifted up

and whose loins [were]

with [a belt of] pure

and His body [was]

ū·ḡə·wî·yā·ṯōw

וּגְוִיָּת֣וֹ

also like the beryl

כְתַרְשִׁ֗ישׁ

and his face

as the appearance

of lightning

and his eyes

kə·lap·pî·ḏê

כְּלַפִּ֣ידֵי

and his arms

ū·zə·rō·‘ō·ṯāw

וּזְרֹֽעֹתָיו֙

and his feet

ū·mar·gə·lō·ṯāw,

וּמַרְגְּלֹתָ֔יו

like in color

and the voice

of his words

like the voice

of a multitude

ham·mar·’āh,

wə·hā·’ă·nā·šîm

וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֙

ham·mar·’āh;

so that they fled

way·yiḇ·rə·ḥū

וַֽיִּבְרְח֖וּ

bə·hê·ḥā·ḇê.

בְּהֵחָבֵֽא׃

נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּי

hag·gə·ḏō·lāh

there remained

for my comeliness

to a deathly

לְמַשְׁחִ֔ית

and Yet heard

of his words

when I heard

ū·ḵə·šā·mə·‘î

וּכְשָׁמְעִי֙

of his words

in a deep sleep

toward the ground

wat·tə·nî·‘ê·nî

וַתְּנִיעֵ֥נִי

[upon] and the palms

wə·ḵap·pō·wṯ

greatly beloved

bad·də·ḇā·rîm

בַּדְּבָרִ֜ים

‘ā·mə·ḏe·ḵā,

שֻׁלַּ֣חְתִּי

when he had spoken

ū·ḇə·ḏab·bə·rōw

וּבְדַבְּר֥וֹ

for from the first

hā·ri·šō·wn,

on understanding

and to chasten yourself

ū·lə·hiṯ·‘an·nō·wṯ

וּלְהִתְעַנּ֛וֹת

yourself before

ḏə·ḇā·re·ḵā;

in response to your words

biḏ·ḇā·re·ḵā.

בִּדְבָרֶֽיךָ׃

But the prince

of the kingdom

of the chief

hā·ri·šō·nîm

הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים

lə·‘ā·zə·rê·nî;

לְעָזְרֵ֑נִי

נוֹתַ֣רְתִּי

Now I have come

la·hă·ḇî·nə·ḵā,

לַהֲבִ֣ינְךָ֔

shall befall

to your people

lə·‘am·mə·ḵā

in the latter

bə·’a·ḥă·rîṯ

בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית

[many] for days

when he had spoken

ū·ḇə·ḏab·bə·rōw

וּבְדַבְּר֣וֹ

kad·də·ḇā·rîm

כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים

toward the ground

and I became mute

wə·ne·’ĕ·lā·mə·tî.

וְנֶאֱלָֽמְתִּי׃

[one] like the similitude

then I opened

wā·’ep̄·taḥ-

wā·’ă·ḏab·bə·rāh

וָאֲדַבְּרָה֙

wā·’ō·mə·rāh

by the vision

בַּמַּרְאָה֙

and I have retained

for as for me

do there remained

and is there breath

way·yig·ga‘-

[one] me like the appearance

and he strengthened

way·ḥaz·zə·qê·nî.

וַֽיְחַזְּקֵֽנִי׃

greatly beloved

when he had spoken

ū·ḵə·ḏab·bə·rōw

וּֽבְדַבְּר֤וֹ

I was strengthened

hiṯ·ḥaz·zaq·tî,

הִתְחַזַּ֔קְתִּי

wā·’ō·mə·rāh

you have strengthened

ḥiz·zaq·tā·nî.

חִזַּקְתָּֽנִי׃

hă·yā·ḏa‘·tā

הֲיָדַ֙עְתָּ֙

and thee? now

will I return

lə·hil·lā·ḥêm

am gone forth

you that which is noted

in the writing

and Yet there

[there is] one

these things
