the judgments

ham·miš·pā·ṭîm,

הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים

you shall set

lip̄·nê·hem.

לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

he shall serve

and in the seventh

ū·ḇaš·šə·ḇi·‘iṯ,

וּבַ֨שְּׁבִעִ֔ת

he shall go out

la·ḥā·p̄ə·šî

לַֽחָפְשִׁ֖י

he shall go out

he is the husband

then shall go out

wə·yā·ṣə·’āh

and she has born

wə·yā·lə·ḏāh-

and her children

wî·lā·ḏe·hā,

to her master

la·ḏō·ne·hā,

לַֽאדֹנֶ֔יהָ

shall go out

shall declare

אָהַ֙בְתִּי֙

I will go out

Then shall bring him

wə·hig·gî·šōw

וְהִגִּישׁ֤וֹ

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים

and he shall also bring him

wə·hig·gî·šōw

וְהִגִּישׁוֹ֙

the doorpost

ham·mə·zū·zāh;

הַמְּזוּזָ֑ה

and shall bore

bam·mar·ṣê·a‘,

בַּמַּרְצֵ֔עַ

and he shall serve him

wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏōw

his daughter

to be a maidservant

she shall go out

the menservants

hā·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm.

הָעֲבָדִֽים׃

she is displeasing

of her master

he shall designate

her to be redeemed

wə·hep̄·dāh;

וְהֶפְדָּ֑הּ

unter a nation

he has power

lə·mā·ḵə·rāh

since he has broken faith

he has betrothed her

yî·‘ā·ḏen·nāh;

יִֽיעָדֶ֑נָּה

according to the custom

כְּמִשְׁפַּ֥ט

hab·bā·nō·wṯ

he shall deal

to him [wife]

her garments

and her duty of marriage

wə·‘ō·nā·ṯāh

shall he deprive

then shall she go out

wə·yā·ṣə·’āh

he who attacks

so that he dies

shall be put to death

he did lie in wait

wə·hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

וְהָאֱלֹהִ֖ים

into his hand

then I will appoint

וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י

he shall flee

willfully attacks

his neighbor

lə·hā·rə·ḡōw

ḇə·‘ā·rə·māh;

you shall take him

tiq·qā·ḥen·nū

תִּקָּחֶ֖נּוּ

that he may die

and he who attacks

or his mother

shall be put to death

And he who steals

and sells him

or if he be found

in his possession

shall be put to death

and he who curses

ū·mə·qal·lêl

or his mother

shall be put to death

quarrel together

with a stone

with [his] fist

ḇə·’eḡ·rōp̄;

לְמִשְׁכָּֽב׃

he rise again

wə·hiṯ·hal·lêḵ

וְהִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ

מִשְׁעַנְתּ֖וֹ

then shall be cleared

he who struck [him]

ham·mak·keh;

[for] the loss of his time

he shall pay

and shall cause to be thoroughly healed

with a staff

shall be punished

Notwithstanding

he continues

shall he be punished

his property

wə·nā·ḡə·p̄ū

so that departs

yə·lā·ḏe·hā,

follow [from her]

he shall be punished

according as

of the woman

and he shall pay

as the judges decide

bip̄·li·lîm.

בִּפְלִלִֽים׃

then you shall give

wə·nā·ṯat·tāh

of his servant

that it perish

wə·ši·ḥă·ṯāh;

וְשִֽׁחֲתָ֑הּ

la·ḥā·p̄ə·šî

לַֽחָפְשִׁ֥י

he shall let him go

yə·šal·lə·ḥen·nū

יְשַׁלְּחֶ֖נּוּ

of his manservant

of his maidservant

he strike out

la·ḥā·p̄ə·šî

לַֽחָפְשִׁ֥י

he shall let him go

yə·šal·lə·ḥen·nū

יְשַׁלְּחֶ֖נּוּ

that they die

shall be stoned

but the owner

[shall be] cleared

prone to goring

before that time

and it has been testified

to his owner

בִּבְעָלָיו֙

he kept it in

yiš·mə·ren·nū,

יִשְׁמְרֶ֔נּוּ

and it kills

shall be stoned

shall be put to death

a sum of money

there be imposed

then he shall give

for the ransom

it has gored

כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט

according to this

shall it be done

a manservant

a maidservant

he shall give

to their master

wə·haš·šō·wr

shall be stoned

yə·ḵas·sen·nū;

יְכַסֶּ֑נּוּ

shall make good

he shall give

to its owner

and the dead

that it ndies

then they shall sell

and the dead [ox]

they shall divide

if it be known

prone to goring

was previously

mit·tə·mō·wl

before that time

yiš·mə·ren·nū

יִשְׁמְרֶ֖נּוּ

he shall surely

and the dead
