וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים

ḡil·lū·lê·hem

גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙

their hearts

and the stumbling block

וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל

of their iniquity

should I be enquired

ha·’id·dā·rōš

הַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁ

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֨

of the house

גִּלּוּלָ֜יו

and the stumbling block

וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל

of his iniquity

in the matter in view of the multitude

of his idols

גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃

to the end that

of the house

of the hearts

through their idols

bə·ḡil·lū·lê·hem

בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם

from Me through all

wə·hā·šî·ḇū,

וְהָשִׁ֔יבוּ

[yourselves] your idols

gil·lū·lê·ḵem;

גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם

your abominations

tō·w·‘ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem

תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

of the house

or of the stranger

ū·mê·hag·gêr

bə·yiś·rā·’êl

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒

and that separates himself

wə·yin·nā·zêr

mê·’a·ḥă·ray,

גִּלּוּלָיו֙

and the stumbling block

וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל

of his iniquity

And I will set

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

against that man

against that

and will make him

wa·hă·śi·mō·ṯî·hū

וַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֙יהוּ֙

and a proverb

wə·lim·šā·lîm,

וְלִמְשָׁלִ֔ים

and I will cut him off

wə·hiḵ·rat·tîw

וְהִכְרַתִּ֖יו

of my people

you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

And the prophet

wə·han·nā·ḇî

וְהַנָּבִ֤יא

when he has spoken

have deceived

and I will stretch out

and will destroy him

wə·hiš·maḏ·tîw,

וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יו

from the middle

of my people

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And they shall bear

the punishment of their iniquity

as the iniquity

of him who seeks

even as the punishment

of the prophet

to the end that

That the house

mê·’a·ḥă·ray,

yiṭ·ṭam·mə·’ū

יִטַּמְּא֥וּ

their transgressions

פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם

but that they may be

to me saying

against Me by committing

then will I stretch out

and will break

wə·šā·ḇar·tî

וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי

and will send

wə·hiš·laḥ·tî-

וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־

and will cut off

wə·hiḵ·rat·tî

וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י

ū·ḇə·hê·māh.

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים

Though these

bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh,

wə·’î·yō·wḇ;

by their [own] righteousness

ḇə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯām

בְצִדְקָתָם֙

should deliver

yə·naṣ·ṣə·lū

[but] their own souls

I cause noisome

through the land

and they spoil it

wə·šik·kə·lāt·tāh;

וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה

so that it be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

may pass through

of the beasts

[yough] three

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים

these [were]

[as] live it

shall deliver

shall be delivered

yin·nā·ṣê·lū,

but the land

wə·hā·’ā·reṣ

[if] I bring

wə·’ā·mar·tî,

וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י

through the land

so that I cut off

wə·hiḵ·rat·tî

וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י

ū·ḇə·hê·māh.

וּשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים

Though these [were]

[as] live it

they shall deliver

nor daughers

shall be delivered themselves

yin·nā·ṣê·lū.

יִנָּצֵֽלוּ׃

a pestilence

and pour out

wə·šā·p̄aḵ·tî

וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֨י

on it to cut

ū·ḇə·hê·māh.

and Though Noah

and Job [were]

[as] live it

shall deliver

by their righteousness

ḇə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯām

בְצִדְקָתָ֖ם

[but] they shall deliver

their own souls

How much more

and the famine

and the pestilence

שִׁלַּ֖חְתִּי

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

ū·ḇə·hê·māh.

therein shall be left

that shall be brought forth

ham·mū·ṣā·’îm

הַֽמּוּצָאִים֮

and daughers

they shall come forth

and you shall see

their doings

‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯām;

עֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם

and you shall be comforted

wə·ni·ḥam·tem,

וְנִחַמְתֶּ֗ם

I have brought

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

[even] I have brought

And they shall comfort

their doings

‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯām;

עֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם

you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֗ם

outside cause

that I have not done
