הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

And it came to pass

way·ya·‘aḇ·rū

וַיַּעַבְר֥וּ

the officers

haš·šō·ṭə·rîm

הַשֹּׁטְרִ֖ים

ham·ma·ḥă·neh.

הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃

And they commanded

When you see

kir·’ō·wṯ·ḵem,

כִּרְאֽוֹתְכֶ֗ם

of the covenant

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם

and the priests

wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm

וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙

[is] then you

shall remove

from your place

mim·mə·qō·wm·ḵem,

מִמְּק֣וֹמְכֶ֔ם

wa·hă·laḵ·tem

וַהֲלַכְתֶּ֖ם

there shall be

בֵּֽינֵיכֶם֙

of about 2 000

kə·’al·pa·yim

כְּאַלְפַּ֥יִם

bam·mid·dāh;

come not near

to the end that

you may know

mit·tə·mō·wl

before that time

שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

sanctify yourselves

hiṯ·qad·dā·šū;

הִתְקַדָּ֑שׁוּ

bə·qir·bə·ḵem

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֖ם

nip̄·lā·’ō·wṯ.

נִפְלָאֽוֹת׃

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙

hak·kō·hă·nîm

הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים

of the covenant

and pass over

And they took up

וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙

of the covenant

way·yê·lə·ḵū

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

will I begin

to magnify you

in the sight

they may know

shall command

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

of the covenant

When you have come

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

בַּיַּרְדֵּ֖ן

you shall stand still

ta·‘ă·mō·ḏū.

תַּעֲמֹֽדוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם׃

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

you shall know

that the living

bə·qir·bə·ḵem;

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם

[that] you and [that] he will outside fail

from before you

mip·pə·nê·ḵem

מִ֠פְּנֵיכֶם

the Canaanites

hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî

הַכְּנַעֲנִ֨י

the Hittites

the Perizzites

hap·pə·riz·zî

הַפְּרִזִּי֙

the Girgashites

hag·gir·gā·šî,

הַגִּרְגָּשִׁ֔י

and the Amorites

wə·hā·’ĕ·mō·rî

וְהָאֱמֹרִ֖י

and the Jebusites

וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃

And it came to pass

when the people

from their tents

מֵאָ֣הֳלֵיהֶ֔ם

hay·yar·dên;

הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן

and the priests

wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm,

וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים

of the covenant

as they who bore

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

and the feet

of the priests

הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙

wə·hay·yar·dên,

וְהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן

מִלְמַ֜עְלָה
