הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן

הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים

and you shall carry them over

וְהַעֲבַרְתֶּ֤ם

and with you and leave

wə·hin·naḥ·tem

וְהִנַּחְתֶּ֣ם

in the lodging

bam·mā·lō·wn

you shall lodge

hal·lā·yə·lāh.

הַלָּֽיְלָה׃

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

he had prepared

from the sons

out of every tribes a man

out of every

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם

hay·yar·dên;

הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן

and take you up

his shoulder

according to the number

of the tribes

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

to the end that

bə·qir·bə·ḵem;

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם

יִשְׁאָל֨וּן

[that] your children

[their fathers] in time to come

hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

Then you shall answer

wa·’ă·mar·tem

וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם

were cut off

הַיַּרְדֵּן֙

of the covenant

when it passed over

bə·‘ā·ḇə·rōw

bay·yar·dên,

בַּיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

were cut off

hay·yar·dên;

הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן

and shall be

hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

for a memorial

lə·zik·kā·rō·wn

לְזִכָּר֛וֹן

way·ya·‘ă·śū-

וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־

the children

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

וַיִּשְׂא֡וּ

from the middle

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

according to the number

of the tribes

and carried them over

way·ya·‘ă·ḇi·rūm

וַיַּעֲבִר֤וּם

the place where they lodged

ham·mā·lō·wn,

and laid them down

way·yan·ni·ḥūm

וַיַּנִּח֖וּם

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

in the middle

הַיַּרְדֵּן֒

in the place

at the place

where the feet

of the priests

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים

of the covenant

and they are

וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֞ים

hā·’ā·rō·wn,

in the middle

הַיַּרְדֵּן֒

was finished

that the LORD

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙

according to all

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘;

way·ma·hă·rū

וַיְמַהֲר֥וּ

and passed over

way·ya·‘ă·ḇō·rū.

וַֽיַּעֲבֹֽרוּ׃

and it came to pass

la·‘ă·ḇō·wr;

that passed over

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

and the priests

wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm

וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים

in the presence

of the people

And passed over

way·ya·‘aḇ·rū

וַ֠יַּעַבְרוּ

the children

and the children

הַֽמְנַשֶּׁה֙

the children

kə·’ar·bā·‘îm

כְּאַרְבָּעִ֥ים

lam·mil·ḥā·māh,

לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘,

in the sight

and they feared

וַיִּֽרְא֣וּ

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

of the testimony

that they come up

הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

therefore commanded

הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים

hay·yar·dên.

And it came to pass

when the priests

hak·kō·hă·nîm

הַכֹּהֲנִ֜ים

of the covenant

out of the middle

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

were lifted up

of the priest

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים

the dry land

he·ḥā·rā·ḇāh;

that returned

way·yā·šu·ḇū

וַיָּשֻׁ֤בוּ

הַיַּרְדֵּן֙

to their place

lim·qō·w·mām,

way·yê·lə·ḵū

[they did] before

gə·ḏō·w·ṯāw.

גְּדוֹתָֽיו׃

And the people

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

on the tenth [day]

of the month

hā·ri·šō·wn;

way·ya·ḥă·nū

וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙

bag·gil·gāl,

בַּגִּלְגָּ֔ל

on the eastern

hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

הָֽאֲבָנִים֙

hay·yar·dên;

הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן

yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘

bag·gil·gāl.

בַּגִּלְגָּֽל׃

And he spoke

יִשְׁאָל֨וּן

your children

their fathers

hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

wə·hō·w·ḏa‘·tem

וְהוֹדַעְתֶּ֖ם

Then you shall let your children

bay·yab·bā·šāh

בַּיַּבָּשָׁה֙

הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן

For the LORD

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

הַיַּרְדֵּ֛ן

from before you

mip·pə·nê·ḵem

מִפְּנֵיכֶ֖ם

you were passed over

‘ā·ḇə·rə·ḵem;

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

from before us

mip·pā·nê·nū

מִפָּנֵ֖ינוּ

we were gone over

‘ā·ḇə·rê·nū.

to the end that

of the earth

[is] to the end that

you might fear

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem
