This NT ἅπ. λεγ. (Acts 21:30 : cf. LXX Judith 10:18, 3 Maccabees 3:8) in the sense of ";a tumultuous concourse"; may be illustrated from Polyb. i. 67. 2 εὐθέως διαφορὰ καὶ στάσις ἐγεννᾶτο, καὶ συνδρομαὶ συνεχεῖς ἐγίγνοντο.
