1082) md (דמ DM) AC: ? CO: Blood AB: Likeness: The pictograph d is a door representing the idea of moving back and forth. The m is a picture of water and can represent any liquid especially blood. Combined these pictures mean "the moving back and forth of water" or the "flowing of blood". Similarly, the grape plant takes water from the ground and moves it to the fruit where the water becomes the blood of the grape. (eng: dumb)
A) md (דמ DM) AC: ? CO: Blood AB: ?: The blood of man is also water, which moves through the body. When the blood is shed, the man or animal becomes silent. A son from the blood of his father resembles his father.

דְּמוּת f. (from the root דָּמָה No. I).
(1) similitude, likeness, image, i.q. Syr. ܕܡܘܽܬܐܳ. Genesis 1:26, “let us make man.… כִּדְמוּתֵנוּ according to our image;” compare 5:1,, “he begat a son בִּדְמוּתוֹ כְצַלְמוֹ according to his likeness, after his image;” 2 Chronicles 4:3, דְּמוּת בְּקָרִים “images of oxen,” cast, molten oxen; Isaiah 40:18, מַה־דְּמוּת תַּעַרְכוּ לוֹ “what image will ye compare to him?”
(2) model, pattern, 2 Kings 16:10.
(3) appearance, Ezekiel 1:16, דְּמוּת אֶחָד לְאַרְבַּעְתּן “those four had one appearance.” Followed by a genitive, the appearance of any thing, that is, an appearance resembling something, when any thing seen in a dream or vision is described as not clearly seen; Ezekiel 1:5, וּמִתּוֹכָהּ דְּמוּת אַרְבַּע חַיּוֹת “and in the midst of it was the appearance of four living creatures,” i.e. a certain appearance like four living creatures; verse 26 Ezekiel 1:26, דְּמוּת כִּסֵּא “the appearance of a throne;” verse 28 Ezekiel 1:28, 8:2 10:1, 21 Ezekiel 10:21; Daniel 10:16.
