And Jesus answered and said to him, It is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve only him.

And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here:

And Jesus answering said to him, It is said, You shall not make trial of the Lord your God.

Ah! what do we have to do with you, Jesus you Nazarene? have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, the Holy One of God.

And demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, You are the Son of God. And rebuking them, he did not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

But he said to them, I must preach the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also: for therefore I was sent.

Now it came to pass, while the multitude pressed on him and heard the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret;

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his house, glorifying God.

And amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God; and they were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.

how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave to those that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone?

And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

And fear took hold on all: and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has arisen among us: and, God has visited his people.

I say to you, Among those that are born of women there is none greater than John: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

And all the people when they heard, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected for themselves the counsel of God, not being baptized of him.

And it came to pass soon afterward, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good tidings of the kingdom of God, and with him the twelve,

And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
