Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark: Let it look for light, but have none; Neither let it see the eyelids of the morning:

See this, we have searched it, so it is; Hear it, and know it for your good.

For now you are nothing; You see a terror, and are afraid.

Oh remember that my life is a breath: My eye shall no more see good.

Look, he goes by me, and I don't see him: He passes on also, but I don't perceive him.

Now my days are swifter than a post: They flee away, they see no good,

Do you have eyes of flesh? Or do you see as common man sees?

Where then is my hope? And as for my hope, who shall see it?

And after my skin, [even] this [body], is destroyed, Then without my flesh shall I see God;

Whom I, even I, shall see, on my side, And my eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger. My heart is consumed inside me.

The eye which saw him shall see him no more; Neither shall his place anymore look at him.

Let his own eyes see his destruction, And let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

Or darkness, so that you can't see, And abundance of waters cover you.

Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see; And he walks on the vault of heaven.

The righteous see it, and are glad; And the innocent laugh them to scorn,

On the left hand, when he does work, but I can't behold him; He hides himself on the right hand, that I can't see him.

Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why don't those that know him see his days?

The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, No eye shall see me: And he disguises his face.

Doesn't he see my ways, And number all my steps?

He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit, And my life shall see the light.
