But the man went out and openly began to proclaim and spread the news. Consequently, Jesus could no longer enter a town in plain view, but He stayed out in solitary places. Yet people came to Him from every quarter.

But some of the scribes were sitting there and contemplating in their hearts,

"Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." He said to the paralytic,

On hearing this, Jesus told them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

And He asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?" But they were silent.

But He ordered them sternly not to make Him known.

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin."

But Jesus replied, "Who are My mother and My brothers?"

But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

He replied, "The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside, everything is expressed in parables,

so that, 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.'"

But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him."

But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade."

He did not say anything to them without a parable. But privately He explained everything to His own disciples.

But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, "Teacher, don't You care that we are perishing?"

But Jesus would not allow him. "Go home to your own people," He said, "and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you."
