But When Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

"Why do you call Me good?" Jesus replied. "No one is good except God alone.

Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!"

And the disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said to them again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God."

"Have faith in God," Jesus said to them.

"Teacher," they said, "we know that You are honest and are swayed by no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?"

Then Jesus told them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." And they marveled at Him.

Jesus said to them, "Aren't you mistaken because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?

But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

Jesus replied, "This is the most important: 'Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

"Right, Teacher," the scribe replied. "You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,

When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And no one dared to question Him any further.

Truly I tell you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God."

At the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?" which means, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
