For our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints; For there is no want to those that fear him.

Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help.

For without cause they have hid for me the pit of their net; Without cause they have dug [it] for my soul.

All my bones shall say, Yahweh, who is like you, Who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him that robs him?

They reward me evil for good, [To] the bereaving of my soul.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into my own bosom.

For they don't speak peace; But they devise deceitful words against those that are quiet in the land.

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yes, let them say continually, Yahweh be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of his slave.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the slave of Yahweh. The transgression of the wicked says inside his heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

For he flatters himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.

For with you is the fountain of life: In your light we shall see light.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.

Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him: Don't fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Yahweh, they shall inherit the land.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yes, you shall diligently consider his place, and he shall not be.

The Lord will laugh at him; For he sees that his day is coming.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; But Yahweh upholds the righteous.

For such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land; And those that are cursed of him shall be cut off.

Though he falls, he shall not be completely cast down; For Yahweh upholds him with his hand.
