For our soul is bowed down to the dust: Our body cleaves to the earth.

Rise up for our help, And redeem us for your loving-kindness' sake.

For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. My heart overflows with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made concerning the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

So will the king desire your beauty; For he is your lord; and you shall reverence him.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah; set to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Oh clap your hands, all you peoples; Shout to God with the voice of triumph.

For Yahweh Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.

He chooses our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

For God is the King of all the earth: Sing praises with understanding.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together [To be] the people of the God of Abraham: For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.

God has made himself known in her palaces for a refuge.

For, look, the kings assembled themselves, They passed by together.

For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our guide [even] to death.

None [of them] can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him;

(For the redemption of their life is costly, And it fails forever;)

For he shall see it. Wise men die; The fool and the brutish alike perish, And leave their wealth to others.

They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, far away from their lofty abode.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol; For he will receive me. Selah.

For when he dies he shall carry nothing away; His glory shall not descend after him.
