At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.

Yahweh also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.

And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yes, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.

For all his ordinances were before me, And I do not put away his statutes from me.

Therefore Yahweh has recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyes.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Yahweh is tried; He is a shield to all those that take refuge in him.

Great deliverance he gives to his king, And shows loving-kindness to his anointed, To David and to his seed, for evermore.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows his handiwork.

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices as a strong man to run his course.

His going forth is from the end of the heavens, And his circuit to the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Who can discern [his] errors? Acquit me from hidden [faults].

Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed; He will answer him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand.

You have given him his heart's desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

For you meet him with the blessings of goodness: You set a crown of fine gold on his head.

His glory is great in your salvation: Honor and majesty you lay on him.

You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger: Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

For he has not despised nor detested the affliction of the afflicted; Neither has he hid his face from him; But when he cried to him, he heard.

All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All those that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that can't keep his soul alive.

They shall come and shall declare his righteousness To a people that shall be born, that he has done it.

He restores my soul: He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
