For there is a moment in his anger; there is a lifetime in his favor. Weeping lodges for the evening, but in the morning comes rejoicing.

To you, O Yahweh, I called, and to the Lord I pleaded for grace saying,

For the music director. A psalm of David. In you, O Yahweh, I have taken refuge. Let me not be put to shame ever. Deliver me by your righteousness.

For you are my rock and my fortress. So, for the sake of your name, lead me and guide me.

Bring me out of the net that they have secretly set for me, for you are my refuge.

For my life is at an end with sorrow, and my years with sighing. My strength stumbles because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away.

For I hear the rumor of many, "Terror on every side!" When conspiring together against me, they have plotted to take my life.

But as for me, I trust you, O Yahweh. I say, "You are my God."

O Yahweh, let me not be put to shame, for I call on you. Let the wicked be put to shame. Let them go silently to Sheol.

How abundant is your goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you perform for those who take refuge in you before the children of humankind.

As for me, I said in my alarm, "I am cut off from before your eyes." However you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you for help.

Be strong and let your heart show strength, all you who wait for Yahweh.

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My vigor was changed into the dry heat of summer. Selah

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you at the time for finding you. Surely at the flood of many waters they will not reach him.

Do not be like a horse or like a mule, without understanding; that needs his tackle—bridle and rein—for restraint or he would not come near you.

Many are the pains of the wicked, but for the one who trusts Yahweh loyal love surrounds him.

Be glad in Yahweh and rejoice, you righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright of heart.

Exult in Yahweh, O you righteous, for praise is fitting for the upright.

For the word of Yahweh is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.
