For Yahweh Most High is fearsome,A great King over all the earth.

He chooses our inheritance for us,The pride of Jacob whom He loves. Selah.

For God is the King of all the earth;Sing praises with a skillful psalm.

The nobles of the peoples have assembled themselves with the people of the God of Abraham,For the shields of the earth belong to God;He is highly exalted.

For, behold, the kings assembled themselves,They passed by together.

For this is God,Our God forever and ever;He will guide us over death.

Truly, no man can redeem his brother;He cannot give to God a ransom for him—

For the redemption price for their soul is costly,And it ceases forever—

For he sees that even wise men die;The fool and the senseless alike perishAnd leave their wealth to others.

As sheep they are appointed for Sheol;Death will shepherd them;And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning,And their form shall be for Sheol to consume,Far away from his habitation.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol,For He will receive me. Selah.

For when he dies he will not take any of it;His glory will not descend after him.

For while he lives he blesses his soul—And men will praise you when you do well for yourself—

And the heavens declare His righteousness,For God Himself is judge. Selah.

I do not reprove you for your sacrifices,And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

For every beast of the forest is Mine,The cattle on a thousand hills.

If I were hungry I would not tell you,For the world is Mine, as well as its fullness.

For you hate discipline,And you cast My words behind you.

You let your mouth loose in evilAnd you harness your tongue for deceit.

For I know my transgressions,And my sin is ever before me.
