And don't think you can say to yourselves, ‘Abraham is our father.' I tell you that God could make children for Abraham from these rocks.

They are blessed who work for peace, for they will be called God's children.

If you do this, you will be true children of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on good people and on evil people, and he sends rain to those who do right and to those who do wrong.

"If your children ask for bread, which of you would give them a stone?

Or if your children ask for a fish, would you give them a snake?

Even though you are bad, you know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more your heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask him!

"Brothers will give their own brothers to be killed, and fathers will give their own children to be killed. Children will fight against their own parents and have them put to death.

"What can I say about the people of this time? What are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace, who call out to each other,

At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the people who are wise and smart. But you have shown them to those who are like little children.

The field is the world, and the good seed are all of God's children who belong to the kingdom. The weeds are those people who belong to the Evil One.

There were about five thousand men there who ate, not counting women and children.

There were about four thousand men there who ate, besides women and children.

Peter answered, "Yes, Jesus pays the tax." Peter went into the house, but before he could speak, Jesus said to him, "What do you think? The kings of the earth collect different kinds of taxes. But who pays the taxes—the king's children or others?"

Peter answered, "Other people pay the taxes." Jesus said to Peter, "Then the children of the king don't have to pay taxes.

Then he said, "I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

If one of these little children believes in me, and someone causes that child to sin, it would be better for that person to have a large stone tied around the neck and be drowned in the sea.

"Be careful. Don't think these little children are worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven who are always with my Father in heaven. [

In the same way, your Father in heaven does not want any of these little children to be lost.

But the servant did not have enough money to pay his master, the king. So the master ordered that everything the servant owned should be sold, even the servant's wife and children. Then the money would be used to pay the king what the servant owed.
