Thus has Yahweh of hosts spoken, saying, Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother;

and don't oppress the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.

Yes, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which Yahweh of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets: therefore there came great wrath from Yahweh of hosts.

Thus says Yahweh of hosts: There shall yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

For before those days there was no wage for man, nor any wage for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in, because of the adversary: for I set all of man, every man against his neighbor.

These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates;

and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says Yahweh.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his detestable things from between his teeth; and he also shall be a remnant for our God; and he shall be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace to the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

And Yahweh shall be seen over them; and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

And Yahweh their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for [they shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land.

For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats; for Yahweh of hosts has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his goodly horse in the battle.

And I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they shall walk up and down in his name, says Yahweh.

For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, says Yahweh; but, look, I will deliver man, every man into his neighbor's hand, and into the hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.

Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaves the flock! the sword shall be on his arm, and on his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be completely darkened.

In that day, says Yahweh, I will smite every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

And it shall come to pass that, when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begot him shall say to him, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of Yahweh; and his father and his mother that begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he prophesies; neither shall they wear a hairy mantle to deceive:
