Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother dies, and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.

and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is much more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices.

David himself calls him Lord; and how is he his son? And the large crowd heard him gladly.

And in his teaching he said, Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and [to have] salutations in the marketplaces,

And he called to him his disciples, and said to them, Truly I say to you, This poor widow cast in more than all those that are casting into the treasury:

And as he went forth out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Teacher, look, what manner of stones and what manner of buildings!

And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

and let him that is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house:

and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

And then he shall send forth the angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

[It is] as [when] a man, sojourning in another country, having left his house, and given authority to his slaves, to each one his work, commanded also the porter to watch.

And while he was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat to eat, there came a woman having an alabaster cruse of ointment of pure nard very costly; [and] she broke the cruse, and poured it over his head.

And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the passover, his disciples say to him, Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the passover?

And he sends two of his disciples, and says to them, Go into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him;

And they come to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he says to his disciples, Sit here, while I pray.

But a certain one of those that stood by drew his sword, and smote the slave of the high priest, and struck off his ear.

And a certain young man followed with him, having a linen cloth cast about him, over [his] naked [body]: and they lay hold on him;

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and says to him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

And the high priest rent his clothes, and says, What further need do we have of witnesses?

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say to him, Prophesy: and the attendants received him with blows of their hands.
