if you know His will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;

If a man who is not circumcised keeps the requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?

But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.

However, if my falsehood accentuates God's truthfulness, to the increase of His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?

Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.

and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

God presented Him as an atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, in order to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand.

He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

In what context was it credited? Was it after his circumcision, or before? It was not after, but before.

For it was not through the law that Abraham and his descendants were promised that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

Without weakening in his faith, he acknowledged the decrepitness of his body (since he was about a hundred years old) and the lifelessness of Sarah's womb.

Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!

For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

Or aren't you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in resurrection.

For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh,
