Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe." [fn] Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.

So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us."

And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.' " Isaiah 40:3-5 ">[fn]

Or how can you say to your brother, "Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye.

Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.

When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings' courts.

But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head.

And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that 'Seeing they may not see,And hearing they may not understand.' Isaiah 6:9 ">[fn]

Mark 4:21-25">[xr] "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.

And it was told Him by some, who said, "Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see You."

Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

Herod said, "John I have beheaded, but who is this of whom I hear such things?" So he sought to see Him.

But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God."

Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see;
