So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba. And Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba.

And when she was done giving him to drink, she said, I will draw for your camels also, until they are done drinking.

Then you shall be free from my oath, when you come to my kindred. And if they don't give her to you, you shall be free from my oath.

And they ate and drank, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night. And they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away to my master.

And they said, We will call the damsel, and inquire at her mouth.

And they called Rebekah, and said to her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.

And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's slave, and his men.

And they blessed Rebekah, and said to her, Our sister, be [the mother] of thousands of ten thousands, and let your seed possess the gate of those that hate them.

And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode on the camels, and followed the man. And the slave took Rebekah, and went his way.

And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He abode across from all his brothers.

And the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment. And they named him Esau.

And Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father. For the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham. And he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

And the herdsmen of Gerar strove with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, The water is ours. And he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.

And they dug another well, and they strove for that also. And he called the name of it Sitnah.

And he removed from there, and dug another well. And for that they didn't strive. And he called the name of it Rehoboth. And he said, For now Yahweh has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

And they said, We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. And we said, Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let us make a covenant with you,

And he made them a feast, and they ate and drank.

And they rose up early in the morning, and swore one to another. And Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.

And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's slaves came, and told him concerning the well which they had dug, and said to him, We have found water.

And they were a grief of mind to Isaac and to Rebekah.
