You shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORDS passover, who brought joy to the house of the children of Israel in Egypt when he smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses. Then the people bowed their heads and worshipped the LORD.

And the children of Israel went away and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron; so did they.

And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron that night, and said to them, Rise up and get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said.

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothing;

Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones.

Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

It was a night to be observed to the LORD for bringing them out of the land of Egypt; therefore, this very night is to be observed to the LORD by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.

Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

And it came to pass on that very day that the LORD brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt with all their hosts.

Sanctify to me every first-born that opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of men and of animals; for they are mine.

But God led the people by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him; for he had solemnly made the children of Israel to swear, saying, God will surely remember you; and you must carry up my bones from here with you.

Speak to the children of Israel that they turn back and encamp by the inlet of Kheritha, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; opposite it shall you encamp by the sea.

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are strangers in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt and he pursued the children of Israel; but the children of Israel had gone out victoriously.

And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and saw the Egyptians marching after them; and they were terribly afraid; and the children of Israel prayed before the LORD.

And the LORD said to Moses. Why do you pray before me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward;

And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it; and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the sea.

And it came between the army of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was cloudy and dark all the night, but it gave light all the night to the children of Israel, so that they could not draw near one to another all the night.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
